Sudanese military foils coup attempt

The Sudanese military announced on Tuesday, that it has foiled the coup attempt that took place in the country.

Sudanese media, quoting the army, reported that a failed coup attempt had been brought under control.

Sudanese media also announced, this morning that a coup group is now trying to control the situation in the country.

Media sources indicated that "the coup attempt in Sudan is being confronted."

A member of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereign Council, the official spokesman for the council, called on his account on the "Facebook" website, the Sudanese people to go out and defend the country against the coup and protect the transitional period."
