Oil Minister embarks on gas investment project in Nasiriyah and Al-Gharaf fields

Oil Minister Ihsan Abdul Jabbar announced on Sunday, the launch of a gas investment project in the Nasiriyah and Al-Gharaf fields, confirming that the government has supported all oil projects.
 
"After more than three years of continuous work for southern gas, the gas investment project was launched in the Nasiriyah and Al-Gharaf fields," Abdul Jabbar said in a speech at the launch ceremony of the project in Dhiqar province, attended by a reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
"Gas investment projects will contribute to the development and the providing of jobs, which are part of sustainable development projects and the investment of Iraqi energies, as well as the multiplicity of revenue sources for the general budget," he said.
 
"The government supported all oil projects," he said, adding that "the gas investment project in the Nasiriyah and Al-Gharaf fields was supposed to start in 2018, but it has been delayed until today, so we need to keep working."
 
He also said that "The government is ready to provide all facilities.”
