Al-Hakim: A need to secure and fortify electoral data

    Head of the National State Forces Alliance, Ammar Al-Hakim, stressed on Wednesday, the need to secure and fortify electoral data when transporting, while protecting the voter's card from any tampering.
     
    "We received in our office this afternoon Viola von Cramon, Head of the European Union Mission for Election Monitoring, and the accompanying delegation, as we discussed developments in the political situation in Iraq and the region, the electoral file and the remaining preparations for democratic practice," said Al-Hakim in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
     
    He added, "We stressed the importance of the electoral process to be of a high degree of transparency in all its stages,”
     
    Al-Hakim highlighted  "the necessity of data security and immunization when transferring, while protecting the voter's card from any tampering," praising the efforts made by “everyone to make the electoral process successful, whether from the government, the commission, political forces or the supervisory teams,”
     
    He called for the importance of intensifying efforts to reach an electoral process that expresses the will of the public, praising the role of the European Union mission in monitoring the elections and noting the role of international monitoring in supporting the democratic process in Iraq.
