A magnitude 5.1 earthquake has struck north eastern Iran near borders with Turkmenistan, the US Geological Survey announced on Monday.
According to the Geological Survey, the tremors were recorded at 04:02 am UTC.
It added, "The epicenter of the earthquake is located 38 kilometers northeast of the city of Kuchan, at a depth of 10 kilometers," noting that "there
are no casualties or destruction recorded".
