President Salih: We are able to succeed in organizing elections

President Barham Salih said on Saturday, that Iraq could succeed in organizing the elections.

"The world looks forward to the Iraqi elections with interest," Salih said during his speech at the 13th annual conference of violence against women", calling on "all political and social forces to support the choice of voters in choosing their representatives."

He pointed out that "the Iraqi situation needs structural reform, and the upcoming elections pave the way to the legislative and executive powers within an environment that provides reform and development for the country and the fight against corruption."
Salih added that “Decades of discrimination against women remind us all of the challenge to stop this phenomenon”.

Salih confirmed that "Our security forces, with their various formations of army, popular mobilization and peshmerga, are capable of combating the remnants of ISIS, which seeks to undermine security and stability in some areas and cities."
