The Directorate of Exhibitions and Commercial Services of the Ministry of Trade announced today, Thursday, the postponement of Baghdad International Fair until next year .
The Director of the General Company for Iraqi Exhibitions and Commercial Services Sarmad Taha told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "this year's Baghdad International Fair will be postponed to next year 2022, due to the conversion of a number of its hall to a hospital specializing in treating people infected with the Corona virus."
He added, "Iraq will participate in the international exhibitions that will be held in Cairo, Dubai and other Arab capitals," noting that "the Iraq pavilion will be represented by the public and mixed industrial sectors, as well as the private."
Regarding the promotion of Iraqi tourism areas abroad, Taha stressed, "there is cooperation with the Tourism and Antiquities Authority to promote media in foreign exhibitions on Iraqi archaeological and tourist areas to attract foreign tourists to the country," explaining that "Iraq has enormous tourism potential represented by monuments and natural sites in the marshes south of the country." The country, in addition to the mountains, resorts and lakes in the north of the country.
