Salah al-Din Court of Appeals issued today, Wednesday, a death penalty for a criminal who participated in the killing of eight people in the village of Albu Dor last year.
A statement issued by the Media Center of the Supreme Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "The criminal admitted participating with the rest of the members of his terrorist group in killing 8 people from the village of Albu Dor in Salah al-Din last year," noting that "The crime came as revenge for causing the imprisonment of his terrorist sister.”
The statement added that "The terrorist group was wearing the uniform of the Popular Mobilization Forces in order to charge them with the crime", noting that" The court found sufficient evidences to criminalize the convict in accordance with the provisions of Article 4 of the Anti-Terrorism Law No. 13 of 2021".
