Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein and the Ambassador of Armenia to Iraq , Hartia Poladian, stressed on the importance of concerted efforts to hold a consultation session at the end of the current month, due to its significant impact in opening new horizons for joint cooperation.
MOFA said in statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the Ambassador of Armenia to Iraq, Hartia Poladian, on the occasion of the end of his work duties," noting that "during the meeting, the progress of bilateral relations between Iraq and Armenia during the last period, and ways for strengthening them were discussed".
The statement added, "The minister valued the efforts made by the ambassador in strengthening bilateral relations between Baghdad and Yerevan, and wished him continuous success in his future diplomatic missions."
For his part, Armenia's ambassador to Iraq, Hartia Poladian, stressed "the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries," praising "the efforts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the facilities in the success of the work of the Armenian embassy in Baghdad."
The ambassador extended an official invitation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Armenia in the context of increasing the volume of cooperation and coordination between the two countries.
