The Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) announced the martyrdom of the deputy commander of Al-Jazeera operations, in the explosion of IED north of Babil.
A statement by PMF, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "with more pride and appreciation and recognition of Allah Almighty's decree and destiny, the Popular Mobilization Forces, pay attribute to the heroic martyr, commander Hassan Karim Hassan, the deputy commander of Al-Jazeera operations at PMF, who martyred, on Sunday evening, due to the explosion of an IED In the Al-Owaisat area, north of Jurf Al-Nasr district, north of Babil province, and two fighters of the 47th Brigade were wounded while performing their duty to secure the district.
The statement added, "PMF extends its sincere condolences and sympathy to the family of the hero martyr and his other devotees. We ask God Almighty to rest him with his mercy, dwell him in his vast gardens, and inspire solace and patience to his family and lovers.
The statement continued: "PMF affirm that they will continue to strike the dens of terrorism wherever they are found and to offer sacrifices for the safety, security and stability of the country."
