Turkish ambassador in Baghdad, Ali Reza Günay, informed National Security Adviser Qasim Al-Araji that his country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to visit Iraq.
Al-Araji received, in his office, the Turkish ambassador in Baghdad, Ali Reza Günay, and during the meeting, they discussed the latest political and security developments in the region, and the strengthening of joint cooperation between Baghdad and Ankara in all areas, according to a statement by the media office of the National Security Adviser, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
Iraq National Advisor Al-Araji stressed the importance of "the Turkish side understanding Iraq's special situation with regard to the water file, expressing his hope that the current stage will go into more joint cooperation, in the interest of the two neighboring countries and peoples,”
For his part, the Turkish ambassador confirmed that "President Recep Tayyip Erdogan intends to pay a special visit to Iraq," noting that "the stability of Iraq is the stability of the region as well,”
