The Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, expressed his condolences, today, Friday, to the death of the great religious reference Muhammad Saeed Al-Hakim, while confirming that the reference spent his dear years of his life in jihad against the tyrant.
Al-Kadhimi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "With hearts wracked by pain, contentment and acceptance of the decree of God Almighty, we mourn to the Islamic nation and all the Iraqi people, the departure of His Eminence, the great religious authority, Muhammad Saeed al-Hakim. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.”.
He added: "To the position of the rational reference, the blessed scholarly estate, and the honorable family of the wise, we raise words of condolences and sympathy and ask for their kindness in this affliction."
Al-Kadhimi continued: “The soul of the venerable scholar has overflowed to its Creator after a lifetime spent in the service of science, jurisprudence, study, diligence and reconciliation between the hearts of Muslims, as he left in us a rich heritage of tolerance, love and service to all Iraqis, he calls us to cherish and remember the good for the coming generations,
Al-Kadhimi concluded: “Our prayer is that the Creator accepts the deeds of the great Imam, and prepares him for guidance, and inspires his relatives, lovers and all Muslims patience and solace.”
