The Iraqi Health Organization announced, on Wednesday, that Corona vaccines saves from the threat of death, indicating that the numbers of vaccinated people are still below the required level.
The head of the organization, Basem Al-Shihabi, said in a speech to the journalists, including the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The vaccine saves people from a serious death-threatening diseases, and there is no alternative to it,” noting that “all vaccines and they are good and effective.”
Al-Shihabi stressed, "Iraq is still classified below the required level in terms of the number of vaccinated people, despite the increasing demand to take the vaccine in the past two months, warning of "the crowds at the vaccinations centers that may lead to spreading the infection."
In a related issue, Al-Shihabi mentioned, "The curfew did not achieve its specified purpose, as it was applied in specific areas and it was far from the ban, as it was considered as a security ban not epidemiological one," explaining, that "the epidemic will turn after a month into a regular epidemic, for which one dose of vaccine is taken every year, like the flu - According to the latest scientific opinions and studies.
