The Security Media Cell announced, on Wednesday, capturing a gang, who tried to sell and smuggle a child in Baghdad.
A statement by SMC, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that during high-level intelligence coordination, the security forces at Baghdad Operations Command were able to arrest three accused, including a woman, who were trying to sell and smuggle a child from the residents of (Nineveh) province.
The statement added, "After ambushing them in Karrada district of Baghdad, they were caught red-handed, affirming that the accused were referred to the judiciary to receive their just punishment in accordance with the law."
