The Italian ambassador to Iraq, Bruno Antonio, confirmed Today, Tuesday, that there are efforts to implement strategic projects in Iraq.
Antonio said in a statement for the Iraqi News Agency (INA): that the visit of Pope Francis to the historic city of Ur was important, noting that Italy is working with the Ministry of Transport to implement FAO project in order to link railways and trains, as well as the highway.
Ambassador Bruno Antonio also added that the Italian company has completed its work in the Mosul Dam, especially since Italy has trained 230 Iraqi engineers and they are now ready to work in the dam, affirming that the Italian companies are present in the provinces of Basra and Dhi Qar and working to train Iraqi engineers and technicians and develop their skills.
