Al-Kadhimi: Iraq-EU partnership and cooperation relations are highly important

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed, on Monday, that Iraq attaches importance to relations of cooperation and partnership with the European Union countries, while the European Union Ambassador Martin Hoth renewed the Union's commitments to help Iraq in the elections.
 
Al-Kadhimi received on Monday, the European Union Ambassador to Iraq, Martin Hoth, on the occasion of the end of his work,  according to a statement by the media office of the Prime Minister, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
 
For his part, Ambassador Hoth congratulated the Iraqi government and people on “the success of the Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership", considering it an "important step to highlight Iraq's civilized role and consolidate ways of cooperation in the region,"
 
The ambassador emphasized, "the commitments of the European Union to assist Iraq in making the elections a success," stressing that "a European mission will participate in monitoring their implementation, as well as in supporting the efforts of the Iraqi government, which seeks to make these elections and their results the true expression of the will of the Iraqi people,"
