US President Joe Biden praised the outcomes of the summit hosted by Baghdad, noting that this diplomacy is more important than ever, which comes within the framework of efforts to ease tensions between neighboring countries and expand cooperation across the Middle East.
A White House statement, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said today, Sunday: The United States continues to stand by the Iraqi partner. As we work together to achieve greater stability throughout the Middle East, we remain committed to strengthen our bilateral relationship under the Strategic Framework Agreement.
During the statement, US President Joe Biden added: "When Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and I met in the Oval Office last month, we discussed Iraq's important role in the region and the significant efforts led by the Government of Iraq, including the Kurdistan Regional Government, to improve and strengthen relations between Iraq and its neighbors."
The White House statement concluded by saying: Diplomacy must be the primary instrument of our foreign policy, and we are grateful for having partners that share this vision.
