Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi affirmed on Saturday, Iraq's keenness to build the best bilateral relations with Egypt.
PM Al-Kadhimi, met the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdul Fattah Al-Sisi, on the sidelines of Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership.
"Iraq is keen to build the best bilateral relations, as to consolidate joint cooperation with Egypt in addition to the other friendly and brotherly regional and neighboring countries,” said Al-Kadhimi.
The two parties discussed ways to strengthen the partnership between Iraq and Egypt in the areas of bilateral development in accordance with common interests, and drawing inspiration from the principles of security, peace, cooperation, and the desire to strengthen the commons.
For his part, President Al-Sisi confirmed his "confidence that joint cooperation, sustainable development and good intentions will enhance the region's security and stability,”
"Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership represents an important step on the basis of economic integration and the promotion of stability,” stressed Al-Sisi.
