French President Emmanuel Macron stressed, on Saturday, that Baghdad conference is essential to achieve stability in the region, while noting that
his country has allocated a budget to support the liberated areas.
Macron said in a press conference held with Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi in Baghdad that is attended by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): The mutual visits between Iraq and France aim to strengthen bilateral relations, reiterating France's commitment to support Iraq.
He also added that France encourages the Iraqi government to support the displaced persons (IDPs), noting that France has allocated a budget to support the stability of the liberated areas.
Baghdad Summit is the key condition for the stability of the region and a real success for Iraq, he said.
Macron also stressed that the Iraqis were able to defeat ISIS on the ground.
