A member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee of the Sairoon bloc, MP Saad Maya Al-Halfi, confirmed today, Friday, that the current stage requires unification of positions and a million march to the ballot boxes.
Al-Halfi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We followed with anticipation and interest the historic and important speech of the Leader Muqtada al-Sadr of purified tenderness, in which he announced his participation in the upcoming parliamentary elections.".
He added, "Mr. Al-Sadr received a reform paper from some political leaders in accordance with the aspirations of the people, which motivates us to move forward with determination to implement the orders of His Eminence.".
He explained that "the current stage requires intensification of efforts, unification of positions and acceleration of pace to prove to everyone, as Al-Sadr affirmed: "We are the largest bloc that Iraq has never known before or later.".
Al-Halfi stressed the importance of the million people marching to the polls on the tenth of next October to elect the candidates of the Sadrist bloc in support of the reform project and saving the country from breaking up violence and corruption.
