The Joint Operations Command confirmed on Saturday, that citizens' information helped arrest a number of those who target the power towers, while noting that terrorism incubators provide information to terrorist members that carry out operations targeting the towers.
The spokesman for the Joint Operations Command, Major General Tahsin Al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The security forces succeeded and greatly limited the targeting of electric power towers, in addition to arrest and kill dozens of criminals while trying to target the electric towers."
He added that "there are security breaches that occur due to the provided information and weapons by the terrorism incubators about the power towers, noting that the security forces have high capabilities in detecting these breaches."
Al-Khafaji also mentioned , "The war that the security forces are waging against the incubators, or those who finance these incubators, succeeded greatly in limiting these violations, as they killed a number of them, in addition to transfer a number of them to the judiciary, affirming that there is great cooperation by the citizens in giving Information that helped arresting the criminals who target the power towers, as most of the information are provided by the citizens.
