Raab: The G7 calls for a joint international mission to prevent the escalation in Afghanistan

    British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab called today, Thursday, in a statement on behalf of the Group of Seven, to which his country holds the rotating presidency, the international community for a unified response to the crisis in Afghanistan to prevent further escalation. 
    British Foreign Minister Dominique Rapp said in the statement, the foreign ministers of the seven groups called for the international community, on Thursday, the reaction uniformly over the crisis in Afghanistan to prevent further escalation. " 

    Rapp also added that "The foreign ministers of the Group of Seven invited the international community to work together in a joint mission to prevent the escalation of the crisis in Afghanistan.”.

    Britain currently holds the rotating presidency of the Group of Seven, which includes in addition to the United States, Italy, France, Germany, Japan and Canada.

    He added that the crisis in Afghanistan "needs an international response, including intensive participation in the sensitive issues facing Afghanistan and the region in cooperation with the Afghans, who are the most affected, in addition to the parties to the conflict, the UN Security Council, the Group of 20, international donors and Afghanistan's neighbors in the region."

    The G7 summit concluded its work in England on June 13, with a wide range of decisions in various fields, after it started one day before in the southwestern English resort of Cornwall, with determination to confront global crises with unity, and discussed in particular the relationship with China and Russia.
