Iraq: Neighboring Countries Con in Baghdad to discuss two main aspects

    Head of the Presidency Office, Muhannad Hossam al-Din, said that the Neighboring Countries Conference  in Baghdad at the end of August will discuss two basic aspects.

     

    Hossam al-Din and the Australian Ambassador Pala Elizabeth Canli met on Wednesday, and discussed the bilateral relations between Baghdad and Kanbarira as to focus on the regional neighborhood summit, which Iraq is preparing to host by the end of August.

     

    "The primary objective of the Conference will discuss important issues; these are the political and security challenges faced by the countries of the region as well as the possibility of creating relations in the light of activating the aspects of the economy, investment and pivotal role in those files," said Hossam al-Din.

     

    The two sides also discussed the expected Iraqi election file, which is hoped to be a transparent experience of new frameworks that leads to reforms in political and economic systems as to put Iraq on a new path of security and stability.

     

    For her part, Australian Ambassador expressed the success of Iraq in the areas of international relations, political and economic reform, confirming the full support of her government to Iraq.
