Basra Criminal Court issued a death sentence against a drug dealer today, Tuesday.
The Judicial Council stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the convict was found in possession of the narcotic substances hashish and methylamphetamine."
It added that "the ruling was issued based on the provisions of Article 27/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
