Karbala Governor announces the arrest of the killer of engineer Abeer Selim

The Governor of Holy Karbala, Nassif Al-Khattabi, announced the arrest of the killer of the governorate's municipal director, Eng. Abeer Salim.

Al-Khattabi said in a brief statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Wednesday, that "the killer of the engineer, Abeer Salim, director of the municipality of Karbala, was arrested."
And earlier on Tuesday, the director of the holy Karbala municipality, Abeer Al-Khafaji, died after being hit by three bullets in the chest.

The reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said, "The director of the holy Karbala municipality, Abeer Al-Khafaji, died after being hit by three bullets in the chest, while supervising a campaign to lift abuses in the Al-Mamlji area."
The Minister of Interior, Othman Al-Ghanimi, had ordered the detention of the security force that was accompanying the victim, the director of the Holy Karbala Municipality, Abeer Salim Al-Khafaji.

A statement by the Ministry of Interior, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), said today, Wednesday, that "the Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi directed the competent authorities to detain the policemen who were accompanying the late Director of the Holy Karbala Municipality, Engineer Abeer Salim, after he was shot while on duty, Which led to his death in the Al-Mamalji area in the Holy Karbala Governorate."
