Karbala Preparations for the holy month of Muharram

    Imam Hussein and The Abbasid Holy Shrines spreads the black banners in preparation for the Ashura ceremonies.
     
    As all the technical, security and logistical preparations were made with the advent of the holy month of Muharram, which witnesses the attendance of large numbers of visitors and Husseini processions, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and his family and companions., peace be upon him, and his family and companions.
     
    Imam Hussein Holy Shrine announced on Sunday that it will not hold an official ceremony to replace the banners this year.
