Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed that the Yazidi file is a priority for the government.
Al-Kadhimi said in a statement, "Our Iraqi people remember these days the seventh anniversary of the heinous crime of terrorism against our patient Yazidi people at the hands of the monsters of Daesh."
He added, "Our people still stand in condemnation with one voice and a united conscience against that heinous crime in which terrorism revealed its sickly anti-human and the crimes of genocide. And Al-Kadhimi said: "In the response of our heroic armed forces, the final and decisive word was given to terrorism and its falsehoods, just as all Iraqis fraternize to help their Yazidi brothers and sisters in an honorable position that history will remember with reverence."
He pointed out that "the Yazidi file is one of the government's priorities, which has not and will not spare any effort in supporting and redressing the Yazidi survivors and preparing a government program for their rehabilitation, in addition to the government's effort to return the displaced to their areas, and to provide all forms of assistance for the stability and reconstruction of their areas, foremost of which is Sinjar.”
