The Saudi National Center of Meteorology, through the early warning system, issued an alert to the southern region about the expected weather in the upcoming hours.
The center said that "Asir region is witnessing continued rain and fog and a decrease in the range of horizontal visibility, and the case includes Abha, Uhud Rafidah, Al-Harja, Al-Majardah, Al-Namas, Bariq, Balqarn, Tanumah, Khamis Mushait, Rijal Almaa, Sarat Ubaidah, Tareeb, Dhahran Al-Janoub and Mahayel, and it will continue until 07:00 on Monday morning (according to local time).
The center also expected thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain and active winds in the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Najran, Makkah and Madinah, and active winds on the eastern parts of the western and southwestern highlands, extending to the Najran region and parts of the Riyadh region.
