The Ministry of Health and Environment announced on Sunday, the arrival of 571,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine.
The ministry's spokesman, Saif Al-Badr, said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that vaccines will be distributed among the health departments in Baghdad and all the provinces, stressing that all vaccines are safe, effective, and from solid global origins.
The Ministry of Health urged all citizens to expedite receiving vaccine doses by registering on the electronic platform or visiting the vaccination centers.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health had revealed negotiations with vaccine-producing countries to secure a quantity to cover the year 2022, while confirming that the company producing the Pfizer vaccine had undertaken to deliver it through cooler boxes to vaccination centers.
