The parliamentary Health Committee proposed, on Sunday, the application of 3 quick and urgent action to confront the threat of escalation of the daily toll of casualties in the third wave of the epidemic Corona, as revealed guide to empty hospitals built rapidly.
Committee member Hassan Khalati told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "there are quick and urgent measures that must be taken in cooperation with the Prime Minister's Office, the concerned authorities and the Ministry of Health, in light of the current crisis and the unprecedented escalation of casualties," noting that "the first of these measures is It is necessary to stop the pressure on the Ministry of Health by the directors of departments, universities and schools who demand that employees and students bring a negative examination result for Corona, because this leads to a scarcity of examinations.
He added, "This makes services move towards people who are not sick, and depriving the injured of examinations as they are limited, in addition to the limited capabilities of hospitals to accommodate patients, in addition to the huge numbers of employees and students who are required to conduct examinations," adding, "This matter is illogical and needs to be Directive from Al-Kadhimi ’s office and the Council of Ministers to stop him.”
He added, "The second measure is to speed up the completion of 10 hospitals in various governorates, the completion rate of which has reached more than 90%, and they need quick procedures for partial and temporary delivery with the aim of exploiting them to serve the health system," noting that "there is a directive to empty the hospitals that were built in a way." It is fast, and this needs alternatives, and the most important alternatives are those hospitals."
