Doctors from the Public Health Agency in England announced the discovery of a new strain of Corona virus in Britain.
((So far, 16 cases of the B.1.621 mutation have been identified across the country, most of them are related to travel abroad)) the newspaper "Mirror" reported, citing specialists.
The newspaper also reported that doctors at the Public Health Agency (PHE) are now conducting tests on this new mutant of the Corona virus (SARS-CoV-2) to better understand the impact of the mutation on the behavior of the virus.
Doctors do not yet know for sure whether the B.1.621 strain may reduce the effectiveness of vaccines.
So far, the mutated strain of the Corona virus "Delta", which was first discovered in India, is the most prevalent strain in the world.
