Major Campaign to Reconstruct 64 Districts in Baghdad

The Parliamentary Services and Reconstruction Committee reveled on Monday, on major campaign for reconstructing 64 districts in Baghdad, indicating that the multiple sides were participated to implement Baghdad Renaissance Project.

Committee member MP Jassem Al-Bakhti told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Services Committee met earlier with the Mayor of Baghdad, and there is a large campaign that includes 64 districts in Baghdad, through the reconstruction of the infrastructure and street resurfacing.

Al-Bakhti added that Mayoralty of Baghdad is considering to change the old designs of roads to widen them in order to facilitate cars movements, affirming that Baghdad Renaissance Project is a great campaign in which great efforts from the ministries of reconstruction, housing, industry, and the Baghdad Governorate as well as the Mayoralty of Baghdad have combined.
