The Ministry of Health and Environment confirmed on Saturday, that it is facing an unprecedented surge in Corona cases.
Ministry spokesman, Dr. Saif Al-Badr, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): We are facing an unprecedented rise in Corona cases, mostly severe ones more than they were in the past, noting that Iraq, like other countries, is facing a dangerous epidemiological juncture, we need to take a serious measures to face such a great challenges through intensifying the awareness.
Al-Badr indicated that during a meeting of the Committee of the Executive Order no. 217, which is charged with following up preventive and remedial measures to confront the Corona pandemic, MOH made recommendations to the Higher Committee for Health and Safety regarding the next stage to confront Corona, calling for the need to adhere to preventive measures through wearing a face mask and social distancing, as well as taking vaccinations.
