The Commission for Human Rights called, today, Friday, to adopt the electronic exam in universities.
A member of the Commission for Human Rights, Dr. Fadel Al-Gharawi, confirmed in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “the spread of the third strain of the Corona pandemic has threatened the lives of university students,” noting that “prevention requirements and the failure of many students to receive the vaccine with temperatures rising to more than 50 degrees Celsius are all unsuitable conditions for the attendance exams."
He added that "the Human Rights Commission holds the Ministry of Higher Education with humanitarian and legal responsibility in the event that the students' lives are at risk," calling on "the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to consider adopting the electronic exam instead of the attendance exam in universities in order to preserve the lives of university students and in response to the exceptional circumstances they are going through ".
