The Ministry of Health confirmed on today, Thursday, in the first comment after recording the highest toll of corona infections, which reached 9,189, that the significant increase came as a natural result of non-compliance with preventive measures.
The ministry's spokesman, Saif Al-Badr, said in an audio recording, a copy of which was received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the media are called to intensify the dissemination of health awareness methods in order to warn citizens of the dangers of the pandemic."
Al-Badr called on citizens to be vaccinated with the vaccine, noting that "all the vaccines provided by the ministry are safe and there is no truth to what is said about the presence of dangerous side effects."
Today, the Ministry of Health recorded 9,189 new infections with the Corona virus, while 5,139 people have recovered.
