The local government of Nineveh has begun to install high-definition cameras in the hubs and the center of the province, on the heels of the repeated attacks targeting the power transmission towers.
The high-resolution cameras have the ability to monitor in various weather conditions, such as fog and temperatures up to 75 degrees Celsius, and 360-degree rotation with a viewing range of up to 2000 meters and a storage capacity of four months.
The Deputy Governor for Planning Affairs, Raad al-Abbasi, stated to Al-Sabah official newspaper, which was followed up by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) on Thursday: the local government has begun installing high-quality cameras, after obtaining the approval, within intersections, bridges and entrances to the city of Mosul, in addition to the power transmission towers across the province, stressing that the government allocates the necessary funds to purchase these cameras.
