The Ministry of Interior revealed on Saturday conducting talks with international companies specialized in installing smart cameras, while confirming that the installation of camera technology achieved many goals for the security forces.
The official spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Major General Khaled Al-Muhanna, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): That the installation of technical cameras and the increase in their number are very important to the work of the ministry and the security forces, and it is a common procedure all of the world, noting that using the cameras has achieved important results in fighting crime, and reducing its rates.
Al-Muhanna added that the security forces have benefited greatly from the installation of cameras and other used technologies, noting that using the cameras in the security work achieves two goals: the first is to detect crimes that take place, and to know the perpetrators of the crime by reviewing the cameras, and the second one is to prevent crimes, especially since Sometimes it is considered as a deterrent of committing the crime because the aggressor fears its presence.
