Al-Kadhimi: We dismantle a lot of ISIS networks and set plans to ensure electoral security

     Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi announced the success in dismantling the terrorist networks of ISIS, while indicating that many plans are being developed to ensure electoral security.

     

    Al-Kadhimi said in a speech, during his meeting with the permanent representatives of NATO countries in Brussels, that received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): Iraq is highly appreciates cooperation with NATO and its member states, in order to support rebuilding of our military institutions and enhance the capabilities of our forces to confront terrorism.

     

    Iraq was and still the first side that confront ISIS terrorist gangs, and this war on terrorism, regardless of its ferocity, made our security forces gain significant experience at the regional and international levels, noting that despite all the security challenges, but our security forces to destroy their safe havens one after the other, and we succeeded in dismantling their networks and sleeper cells that were spread in different parts of the country, Al-Kadhimi added.

     

    He also pointed out that the government submit comprehensive road map aimed at reforming the Iraqi economy and addressing the serious challenges it faces due to past years wrong policies and corruption in addition to the almost total dependence on oil as a main source of state revenue, noting that that economic reforms cannot be achieved without economic growth, and Iraq seek to encourage the international community to promote investment opportunities in Iraq and ensure sustainable development that contributes to economic reform.

     

    Al-Kadhimi concluded his speech by saying:  we renew our thanks and appreciation to all the stances that support Iraq, its people, its institutions and its democratic experience. We look forward to continue cooperation many important fields.
