The media office of the Parliament Speaker announced on Monday, that the Parliament's Presidency holds a meeting with the heads of the blocs to discuss the permanence of the parliament work during the coming period.
A statement issued by the media office of the Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that the meeting discussed the importance of legislating some laws and agreements that have reached to vote, and activating the oversight role of the parliament, in addition to the need to vote on members of the Federal Court of Cassation during the upcoming sessions.
The statement also mentioned that the meeting also discussed the formation of a committee of experts to select members of the Human Rights Commission, indicating that it was decided to hold successive sessions this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
