Von Der Leyen: Corona digital certificate will enter into effect on July

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen announced on today Friday that the 26 of the Member States of the European Union have joined the European Union certification for digital Corona virus system, and will work as planned on July 1 .

"The European Union digital certificate system for the Corona virus will start operating as expected on the first of next July," von der Leyen said, during a press conference after the EU summit.

"Now the 26 EU member states are already connected to this system," she added.

Last week, the European Parliament approved the adoption of the European Union Digital Certificate for the Coronavirus, which allows its holders to travel between the 27 European member states of the European Union, without the need to quarantine or undergo additional tests for the Corona virus.
