The Speaker of the iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, discussed in Paris today, Thursday, with members of the French Employers' Organization, the projects of Mosul Airport and Baghdad Metro.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Al-Halbousi and his accompanying delegation met members of the French Employers' Organization, as part of his official visit to the French capital, Paris," explaining that "during the meeting, they discussed the strategic projects implemented by them."
France in Iraq, including Mosul Airport, the Baghdad Metro, and a number of energy projects,” calling for “expanding the participation of French companies in investment and reconstruction in Iraq.”
The statement added, "The Speaker of the House of Representatives listened to a review of the projects of a number of French companies in Iraq, and the most important obstacles they face,".
He stressed, "The importance of the organization having a headquarters in Baghdad, in order to closely follow up with the concerned authorities to expedite the implementation."
