Russian health authorities said Sunday that the vaccine "Spotenk V", Russian - made, protects against all strains of the emerging corona virus, indicating that the Indian strain of the virus is most prevalent.
The director of the Russian Center for Microbiology, Alexander Ginsburg, said in a press statement, "The Indian strain shortens the time required for the transition from mild symptoms to severe forms of patients, and this strain reduces the time for the possible emergence of antibodies specific to the body of the infected person."
