Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi sent a cable of congratulations to Ibrahim Raisi, on the occasion of his election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
“We extend our sincere congratulations to your excellency on the occasion of your election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and gaining the trust of the Iranian people, wishing success in your duties and the Iranian people prosperity and prosperity,” according to Al-Kadhimi’s telegram that a statement included by his media office, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
In the telegram, Al-Kadhimi stressed "the depth of the distinguished relations between the Iraqi and Iranian peoples, and his aspiration to strengthen the bonds of joint cooperation between the two countries based on common interests, and to work on providing security and stability for people, as well as all the peoples of the region,”
