Al-Kaabi stresses the end of the IDPs file at the end of this year

    The First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hassan Al-Kaabi, stressed the end of the file of the displaced and the closure of the camps at the end of this year, indicating that the file of the displaced is a humanitarian one that the Ministry of Immigration cannot bear only.

    Al-Kaabi's office said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the First Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hassan Karim Al-Kaabi, received today the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faiq Jabro  ."

    Al-Kaabi stressed, "the need to end the displacement file and close the camps at the end of this year, and to deal with this file from a humanitarian and not political side," praising "the great humanitarian role played by the Ministry of Immigration and its coordination with the rest of the concerned ministries and international organizations concerned with this file to supervise and follow up on the displaced." and the displaced and return them to their areas of origin.

    He added, "The file of the displaced is important and large, and it should not be dealt with from a political side only, as some do, or exploited to achieve narrow interests and benefits at the expense of the pain of this segment that has endured long years inside the camps, so everyone should consider this file from its humanitarian side exclusively, and that It is borne by the legislative and executive authorities and the cooperation of the international community, as it relates to the lives of families that include women, children, the elderly and the sick  .”
