The Joint Operations Command confirmed, today, Wednesday, that the coordination centers between Baghdad and Erbil have contributed to increasing military cooperation to pursue ISIS and prevent organized crime.
The spokesman for the joint operations, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The joint centers began their work in exchanging information and dealing with many matters related to the presence of terrorists, and the movement of units in coordination between the center's forces and the Peshmerga forces."
He added that "the coordination centers have contributed to the establishment of security, as well as to an increase in military engagement in pursuing terrorists, controlling smuggling and preserving the national economy."
