Iranian media announced today, Sunday, that at least 9 people were injured in an explosion, which was followed by a fire at a chemical and fireworks factory in the central province of Isfahan .
Mehr News Agency quoted a spokesman for the medical emergency in Isfahan, Abbas Abdi, as saying that "the cause of the explosion at the Sepahan Nargostar Chemical Factory is still under investigation," confirming that "nine injured people were hospitalized."
He added that "the accident occurred in the city of Shaheenshahr," noting that "4 emergency vehicles, an ambulance bus and two vehicles were sent from the Red Crescent to assist in the accident."
"The wounded were taken to Goldis Shaheenshahr Hospital for treatment," he added.
