BOC: We will enforce the law on everyone

Basra Operations Commander Major General Ali Abdul-Hussein Al-Majidi warned today, Thursday, against circumventing the law for the sake of personal interests, while affirming determination to impose the law on everyone.

Al-Majidi said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “imposing security and enforcing the law does not mean violating the freedom of others or diminishing them,” adding that “we have no objection to the use of force in case of necessity, and our goal is to enforce the law and place Basra at the forefront of the provinces.”.

He continued, "When we direct us to tighten the work of external controls through their security work, what is meant by this step is to control security in the governorate center and its dependencies," noting that "cooperation in law enforcement and imposing security is a civilized state, and security is now a state of solidarity that reflects the cultural side of peoples.".
