EU mission celebrates sharing Iraq's historic landmarks

    The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities announced, today, Friday, that the European Union mission in Iraq celebrated Europe Day through a video clip in which it integrated the European Union anthem with the historical monuments of Iraq. ”

    The ministry confirmed, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that“ the video clip It was produced by talented Iraqi hands, and that the Iraqi heritage was a vital focus of the mission's celebration. "

    In a related development, the mission stated on its official website that it “seizes this opportunity to promote the European Union’s common values of human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, rule of law and human rights, which are dominated by inclusiveness, tolerance, justice, solidarity and non-discrimination,” noting that “its celebration of Europe’s Day starts from the Shatt al-Arab to The Joman Mountains, across the marshes to the Ziggurat of Ur, and from the oldest churches in Iraq to the last remaining gateway to the round city of Baghdad, and from the Church of Al-Ukhaidir to the picturesque nature of the north in Rawanduz, and from the Tigris to the humpbacks and the mother of the two springs. ” 

    It is noteworthy that Europe Day is an annual celebration of peace and unity in Europe witnessed by Member States of the European Union, and it will be held on the ninth of May, to commemorate the declaration of the French Foreign Minister in 1950 Robert Schuman, which is considered as the first official document announcing the birth of the European Union.
