Pictures showed Manchester United players upon their arrival at Old Trafford, 6 hours before the match against Liverpool in the English Premier League, on Thursday, to avoid mass protests threatening the match.
This match was scheduled to take place on the third of May, but was postponed after violent clashes between fans and police after more than 100 fans stormed Old Trafford stadium to protest against the Glazer family, which owns the club.
United's home match against Leicester City on Tuesday took place without problems, after heavy security presence and the setting up of barriers around Old Trafford stadium prevented the arrival of fans who were not entitled to attend due to the restrictions of Covid-19.
Previous protests that stopped the Liverpool match have also affected the hotel where the players are staying to eat, meet and rest before matches.
But it appears that United have abandoned their usual pre-match ritual, as pictures published by the Sun and Manchester Evening News on the Internet showed many players arriving early at Old Trafford.
The protests are calling for the Glazers to give up their ownership of the club, which it bought in 2005.
