The Iraqi embassy in India confirmed today, Tuesday, the evacuation of stranded Iraqis.
The Iraqi ambassador to India, Falah Abdul-Hassan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The embassy continues to work to facilitate the return of all citizens to Iraq," noting that "the Indian authorities have issued instructions to prevent the shipment of corpses infected with Corona."
He indicated that "strenuous efforts have been made by us in this regard, but the attempts have not succeeded so far," noting that "the embassy is about to evacuate the Iraqis stranded in India, where more than 800 citizens have been returned, and next Thursday there will be a flight to transport 400 citizens."
