Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi called on the Arab Parliament to hold an emergency meeting regarding the events in Jerusalem, while stressing the need to come up with a common Arab position and decisive decisions regarding the Zionist attacks.

In a letter to the President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Saqr Ghobash, head of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Al-Halbousi said, "The rate of sinful attacks by the Israeli occupation forces by seizing the role and property of Arab citizens has escalated, in an effort to Judaize Jerusalem. And changing its Arab identity, as well as transgressing the worshipers and preventing them from performing their rituals in a great holy place and time, "indicating that" the anger of Arabs, Muslims and the honorable people of the world is increasing at every moment, denouncing these unjust racist and settlement practices. "

He added, "From our official website as representatives of the national will of the Iraqi people, we condemn and denounce the Israeli aggressions, affirming Iraq's support for the brothers in Palestine and their heroic steadfastness, and renewing our firm and permanent stance towards the Palestinian cause in a manner that guarantees the establishment of the independent state of Palestine with its capital, Al-Quds Al-Sharif."
